The Aransas Pass High School varsity Panthers finished the first round of district with back-to-back wins last week, heading into the second round this week.
The Aransas Pass Lady Panthers battled a strong West Oso Lady Bear team and held them off for a 64-51 district victory Friday, Jan. 13.
The Aransas Pass Panthers suffered back-to-back losses last week, but are hoping to rebound this week as they will finish the first round of district play.
The Aransas Pass Panthers defeated Sinton 63-50 on Jan. 3. Butler led the Panthers with 19 points. Cangelosi scored 11 points. Giageos, J. Cruz and Gentry each added eight points.
The Aransas Pass Lady Panthers defeated Rockport- Fulton 42-35 on Jan. 6. White led Aransas Pass with 18 points. Gaitan added 16 points. Brown and Elizondo each scored four points. As on Jan.
