Aransas Pass had a tough time on Friday as they hosted the Edna Cowboys. The Panthers had little luck in the game as Edna walked away with a 51-8 victory, but Aransas Pass fought until the end and was able to put up a scoring drive against the formidable Cowboy defense.
The Aransas Pass boys and girls Cross Country teams competed at the Goliad Invitational last Saturday, Sept. 25. In the Varsity boys division, Jeffrey Harris finished 9th, while the boys team placed 4th overall. Also competing for the boys were Gavin Gaitan, Caleb Waldrep, Christopher Jayne, Nathan Gunn, and Isaiah Castrejon. This was their best showing of the year. In the varsity girls division, Jocelyn Cole finished in 15th place. Her running mates were Elora Pierre, Emma Ramsey, and Haylee Ramsey. In the 8th grade girls division, Kadence Rocha finished in 4th place. Harris, Cole, & Rocha each earned a medal. All of the runners ran their best times of the year in Goliad. They will compete in the Port Lavaca Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 2.
