The Aransas Pass High School Boy’s Powerlifting team ended their season on a strong note at the Regional Meet on March 10 at JK Northway Expo Center in Kingsville, according to their coach, Justin Guerrero. Michael Canchola (left) and Eian Meza (right) were the two qualifiers who competed at the meet. Meza had a squat of 515 pounds for his best lift and Michael Canchola had a squat of 470 pounds. Canchola finished the meet with a total of 1,160 pounds for his best total of the year.

Panther’s Earn Medals in Weekend Track Meet

The Aransas Pass boys and girls track team competed at the Ingleside Mustang Relays on Saturday, February 25. The Panthers held their own going against many 4A and 5A teams. The following were highlights from the meet, provided by their coach, Justin Guerrero: Lexie Leal took home multiple medals setting two school records in the process: 1st in High Jump 5'0 5th in Long Jump 16'6.5' 2nd in 100m hurdles 15.45 (New School Record) 3rd in 300m hurdles 47.68 (New School Record) Courteney Heyward ran her best times of the season in the 100m (13.72) and the 200m (28.43 seconds) Allison Scott competed in pole vault for the first time and cleared 7' to take home 3rd place in the JV Girls division.
