Varsity Panthers Narrowly Beat CC Veterans Eagles 77-73

James Crawford hit two clutch free throws with 5 seconds to play to seal the win for the #12 ranked AAA Panthers against the AAAAA Memorial Eagles. Jonathan Trevino forced a turnover on the last possession to finalize the win. The Panthers forced 41 turnovers in the game, the first game for both teams for this season. Christian Leal had 7 steals, Shimon Crothers had 4 steals and blocked 2 shots, and James Crawford had 9 assists. George Acosta had a nice night off the bench, scoring 9 pts. Christian Adame hit two clutch 3 point shots at big moments in the game. The stifling press of the undersized Panthers was too much for the Eagles. Panthers 1-0, Eagles 0-1 after the first game of the season for both teams.
