Thankfully the heat of August has been put to rest and I’m so glad September is here. The funny thing about September is that it sometimes can be just another August. The one noticeable change this time of year is that the days are getting shorter. Sept. 21 is the first day of Fall and the fish and the animals respond to the hours of daylight to start their migrations or to realize that winter is right around the corner -- whether they are migrating or not. That change in the seasons will prompt fish to start feeding a little more vigorously and that is a great turn of events for the anglers that search the ultra- shallow flats for their quarry.
