The Slowride Fishing Guide

Redfish Bay, as well as most of the Coastal Bend area, has a vast amount of very shallow seagrass flats that can appear to be endless. We really are blessed with a lot of opportunity for world-class fishing without a long adventurous boat ride to get to the more desirable spots. We are also blessed with a lot of public access which is wide open and free to the public that is easily within range of the paddling angler. There are many ways to explore the most beautiful flats of Texas and kayak fishing is one of my favorites when the conditions are right. The season for serious paddle exploration is now and we have more than you can explore in a lifetime right here in our own backyard.

The Slowride Fishing Guide

One of the most inspiring things I’ve ever seen in my life was when Hurricane Harvey hit our area and there was a massive outpouring of love and help for those in need. I had no idea that an army of volunteers with nothing but the desire to help others without hesitation was going to show up and get so busy. Every year as the anniversary passes we are reminded with photo memories of the tragic weather event that hit our area and it is unfortunate that our friends in Louisiana are dealing with the same cleanup project created by Hurricane Ida. The fishing communities of South Louisiana were dealt a devastating blow with the passing of Hurricane Ida a few weeks ago. Many of the people there who had their lives and homes torn apart are working hard to help each other. Those of us that went through Harvey not that long ago still have vivid memories and relate to the struggle.
