Planning begins for 69th annual Shrimporee in June
Although it is still about two months away, community organizations in Aransas Pass are making preparations for the 69th annual Shrimporee along with the Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce, and numerous other entities, non-profit organizations, and volunteers as they gear-up for what has the potential to be one of the most successful events of the season.
Each year, Shrimporee has a significant impact on the community of Aransas Pass and has been known to host more than 45,000 visitors in a single weekend.
The Shrimporee grounds will open Friday, June 9 at 6 p.m. and remain open until midnight at the Aransas Pass Community Park located at 200 E. Johnson Ave.
The Annual Shrimporee parade starts at 10 a.m. in the downtown area with Shrimporee grounds opening at 11 a.m. and ending at midnight.
On Sunday, Shrimporee will run from noon until 6 p.m.
