Panthers fall in close games to Kingsville, Mustangs
The Aransas Pass Panthers lost close district matchups to Kingsville and Ingleside last week. Playing at Sinton Tuesday, April 3, the Panthers lost a heartbreaker as they lost the lead late in the 4-1 defeat. After four innings, the Panthers had scored the lone run, but Kingsville responded with two runs in the top of the fifth, and two in the to of the sixth to take the lead. Marty
Gonzalez started the game for Aransas Pass, going 4-1/3 innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out one and walking one. Ben Bennett threw 2-2/3 innings in relief giving up two runs on two hits, striking out one and walking one.
