Panthers beat Robstown, suffer first district loss to Bears

The Aransas Pass High School varsity Panthers defeated Robstown then suffered their first district loss at the hands of West Oso. They now hold a 4-1 district record and are 17-10 overall.

The Panthers secured a 66-51 win over the Robstown Cotton Pickers Tuesday, Jan. 9. AP was edged by Robstown 11-10 in the first quarter, but rallied to outscore the hosts 22-15 in the second for a 32-26 lead at the half. The Panthers dominated the third quarter, 21-6, to increase their lead 53-32. Robstown outscored the Panthers 19-13 in the final quarter, but it was not enough to overtake the lead.
