Orelia Moreno passed away peacefully on October 11, 2020. She was 83.
Orelia was born on August 24, 1937 in Christine, Texas to Tomas and Eloisa (Benitez) Robles.
She was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass where she and her husband, Domingo, made a home and raised their 8 children. Orelia was a devoted wife and dedicated grandmother.
She helped raise her grandchildren. Orelia never met a stranger. Her home was always opened to anyone seeking shelter and in need of a meal. Orelia also loved to travel. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grand-mother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death are her husband: Domingo M. Moreno, Jr; sons: Ronnie Clem and Domingo Moreno, III; daughter: Rosie M. Ochoa; parents: Tomas and Eloisa B. Robles; brothers: Tomas Robles and Cecil Robles; sister: Josephine Juarez and siblings: Joe Robles, Lucy Foster and Robert Robles.
Survivors include her children: Teresa Metrejean (Johnny); Raul Moreno (Amanda); Hope Pena (Roland); Diana Moody (Roy) and Eloisa Moreno; 24 grandchildren; 52 greatgrandchildren; 19 greatgreat grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020, 11 a.m. at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 8 p.m. at the funeral home. All other services will be private.
