Aransas Pass Panthers open season with loss to R-F Pirates
In spite of a 33-16 loss to open their season, aided by two late fumble recoveries for touchdowns, Aransas Pass High School varsity head coach Ryan Knostman is pleased how well his team played against the Rockport- Fulton Pirates, who are a pretty good team, adding, “We were right there with them.”
The Panthers were held to a lone field goal, kicked by Jonathan Trevino, while the Pirates scored a touchdown, but missed the extra point, to trail 6-3. That score remained through the halftime.
