Abbott tours AP school
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott toured A.C. Blunt Middle School, a campus in the Aransas Pass Independent School District which has not yet opened after Hurricane Harvey. The governor was on hand to not only see the progress, but also to extend gratitude to Lumber Liquidators, a Virginia-based company, which committed more than $100,000 in cash and flooring product to help restore the school. The governor held a press conference in the middle school library, a room in which flooring has already been placed. Also on hand for the tour are, front row from left, A.C. Blunt assistant principal Rachel Harrelson, A.C. Blunt principal Derick King; and Lumber Liquidators CMO of Marketing and Merchandising Marco Pescara, and vice president of sales Damien McGaugh.
