Lumber Liquidators commits $100,000 in cash, flooring product to Aransas Pass middle school
In an effort to contribute to the ongoing recovery taking place across the coastal bend region, which sustained much destruction after Hurricane Harvey, Lumber Liquidators in coordination with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced the business committed more than $100,000 in cash and flooring product to lift up one of the hardest hit communities – Aransas Pass.
The announcement was made last week at the same time Abbott was visiting the Aransas Pass campus – A.C. Blunt Middle School, accompanied by two representatives from Lumber Liquidators office out of Toano, VA. Marco Pescara, CMO of marketing and merchandise; and Damien McGaugh, vice president of sales were on hand to present a check to A.C. Blunt principal Derick King.
When the governor arrived, he toured the campus, even looking into the rooms which are still being renovated, and greeting the workers who were on site. He then held a press conference in the school library during which he recognized Lumber Liquidators.
