Natalia Hanks Smith

Natalia Hanks Smith of Fredericksburg, formerly of Aransas Pass, passed away in her home in Fredericksburg, Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born Oct. 21, 1926 in San Antonio, the daughter of Doss Lee Calton Hanks and Annie Gardner Hanks. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She previously worked for the City of Portland, and the City of Aransas Pass. Natalia is survived by two daughters, Diedra Thompson of Fredericksburg, and Delana and husband Melvin Littleton of Port Aransas; four grandchildren, Lee Dawson Cate, Kevin and Melissa Cates, Wendy and Randy Moore, and Chad and Kristi Littleton; five great grandchildren, Meagen Cates, Tres Walker, Kali Moore, Gabe Littleton, and Luke Littleton; and sister Shirley, Mrs. Gene Nelson of Marble Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Calton Hanks and Armistice Hanks. Pallbearers are Melvin M. Littleton, Kevin Cates, Chad Littleton, Tres Walker, Randall Moore, and Chris Moore, with honorary pallbearers Gabe and Luke Littleton. Graveside services and interment were held Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 in the San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio.
