Code 9 program offered to educate community

The Aransas Pass Police Department is providing an opportunity for the community to learn about the unique career stressors first responders experience on a daily basis by attending a Code 9 Self-Help And Responsive Education (SHARE) Family Workshop Saturday, July 22. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Aransas Pass Civic Center.

The SHARE workshops for stress are a Code 9 Project, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing support, education, and viable self-help resources to command staff, first responders and family members through the medium of film, workshops and health programs.

The Code 9 Project also serves as a bridge between first responders, police/fire/EMS departments and their communities by providing outreach, education and positive community building programs.
