Herman Leroy Lightfoot, 85, passed away July 13, 2017. He was born March 23, 1932 in Combs, Texas to Augusta and Edith Lightfoot. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 47 years, Betty Lightfoot; sisters, Mittie Niola Funkhourser, Patsy Gean Tipton, and Barbara Ann Densmore; and his brother, James Harold Jeffries.
He is survived by one son, Lee Lightfoot (Carla) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two daughters, Debra Hopkins (Keith) of Skidmore and Tracy Lightfoot of Granbury; three brothers, R.L. Lightfoot, Ronald Lightfoot, and Donald Lightfoot; two sisters, Dixie McConathy and Judy Bockhorst; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted by Pastor James Hudson Monday, July 17, 2017 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial was private. The family gives special thanks to Dr. Lee Sang, Maria Palacious, and Calidad Hospice for the wonderful care given to Herman.
