New Fire/Police Station Upgrades Advancing in Aransas Pass

Artist renderings show what the new Aransas Pass Fire Department headquarters would look like, expecting to rise on a vacant site across the road from the current Civic Center. If it moved forward, the police department would also seek a major renovation of the space it occupies now where the Chief has detailed serious overcrowding and other issues hampering his staff as the law enforcement agency deals with a growing demand for its services. Both plans, the city administration has promised, would be advanced without increasing property taxes.
