Aransas Pass Progress
Matthew, 54, and Lynnette Stirling, 49 of Ingleside have a monumental task sorting through thousands of seashells and other inventory once associated with the iconic Shell World of Texas business on W. Wheeler Ave. in Aransas Pass. The couple bought every item once owned by Robert Branch, they will eventually sell at one of two seashell shops they operate in Port Aransas and online. The physical parcels are still for sale. The Stirling’s are considering their options and weighing a decision if they will reopen the landmark ‘Shell World’ early next year.

Family and friends are helping the Stirling’s sort and pack up inventory in one of several building’s Branch owns, this wooden structure in the worst shape, including gaping holes in the roof believed to have been caused by the wrath of Hurricane Harvey in August 2017. The couple expects it could take up to six months to haul everything away they plan to merchandise to new customers.
