Thousands of dollars changed hands earlier this month during ceremonies held at Aransas Pass High School where seniors who distinguished themselves academically earned scholarships from various organizations, including the Aransas Pass VFW Post 2932, and the Rotary Club of Aransas Pass among many others.The APISD posted images on its Facebook page extending heart congratulations to the recipients. “Approximately $150,000 in locally funded scholarships were divided amongst 100 seniors,”the school district wrote on social media. “They also each received an additional $2,200 to go towards college or trade school from the Coastal Bend Foundation.”
