Correction: The Aransas Pass Progress June 15th misidentified San Patricio County District Court Judge Elizabeth Welborn (pictured, right) as Judge Janna Whatley. We apologize for the error. Judge Welborn was addressing the Aransas Pass Rotary about the establishment of a new non-profit, the Aransas Pass ISD Educational Foundation, aimed at raising funds to support programs and initiatives to benefit local students and faculty that otherwise are not covered by the department’s annual budget. Welborn is an Aransas Pass native and graduated from the city’s high school, expressing her strong interest in helping support the Foundation because of her deep roots in the community, along with those of her family.
