A Corpus Christi contractor is well into the early stages of building a new concessions stand on the perimeter of the Little League baseball fields inside Community Park in Aransas Pass. Rain that fell Wednesday, September 6th, may have slowed the process. City Hall shared in its most recent community newsletter that they anticipated completion will be in March 2024. Elected officials voted to approve the long-delayed project’s final price tag of $958,000, a figure that astonished many taxpayers who criticized their government over the expenditure. In response, officials argued the cost rose significantly due to inflationary pressures impacting the amount municipalities are paying for just about any outside work that’s done.
