Neighbors living around DeBerry and 10th in Aransas Pass can feel a lot safer now knowing the city has completed repairs to a fire hydrant that had been stalled for weeks. At least one frustrated homeowner posted details of the issue on Facebook in a dialogue with Mayor Pro Tempore and Councilman Carrie Scruggs, Place 1. She acknowledged the Public Works Department had been waiting on parts, the old hydrant excavated and a brand new one in its place when checked September 6th.
