City finances appear capable of handling $16 million worth of debt the Aransas Pass council approved at its November 6th meeting to underwrite the costs to build a new fire department headquarters, an artist’s rendering seen here. Once the fire department vacates its present quarters, the police department will undergo a massive renovation and expand its floor plan to ease years of overcrowding.
