November 11, Luker appeared as Guest Speaker for the annual Aransas Pass VFW Post 2932 Veteran’s Day ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park.

Images of Luker’s unit on the ground in Iraq. The Marines were sent ahead of other military forces to make certain the way was clear to advance. As the Iraqi Army fell to superior American might they left precious oil fields ablaze, black, thick smoke filling the skies. When it rained the water turned black with oil and Marines who returned are still dealing with the health impact that may have caused.
