Academic excellence has paid off in a free new set of wheels for Aransas Pass High School Class of 2023 graduating senior Mayra Gonzales, surrounded by her parents Johnny and Valerie as the teen received a Nissan Altima, courtesy of Aransas Autoplex that posted the news on their Facebook page. Mayra is a 2023Torch Award winner, and the auto dealer kept a tradition it established with the APISD of donating a new vehicle to one of the Top 20 APHS students that achieve that designation. “We wish Mayra much success in all her future academics!” Aransas Autoplex posted on social media. “Thank you for your continued support of our students, and congrats Mayra!” responded the school district.
