Library volumes hold up during storm
The Ed and Hazel Richmond Public Library has provided volumes of information to Aransas Pass for more than 55 years, and the building even held up during Hurricane Harvey. After the storm, the facility was not opened up to residents right away as it was used to house emergency responders, and later a group of volunteers here to help the community rebuild.
Now 10 months later, the library has been open since two weeks before Thanksgiving and Library Director Lillian Villarreal reports the number of patrons is growing daily.
