Frances Jackson Hoover
Frances Jackson Hoover was born on November 12, 1919. On July 11, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away. Frances Hoover was born in Clovis, New Mexico. At the age of four, Frances moved to Aransas Pass, Texas, with her parents, Caut and Kathryn Mays Jackson whom them established the Jackson Hotel. She was raised in the Jackson Hotel along with her brothers Scott, Bailey and Charles Jackson. Frances fell in love and married a sailor, Frank Albert Hoover, and had two beautiful daughters, Kathryn and Cherry. Frances is survived by their daughters, Kathryn Wemer and Cherry Hoover Harrison; grandchildren David Gardiner, Eric Boyd and Cassidy Barbee; and nine great-grandchildren. Frances was loved and respected by all. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, her family and all the great friends she had including active involvement in the Insurance Women of Texas and the Aransas Pass Lioness Club. Her younger years included employment at the Rialto Theater and working for Bill Ellis at the Tarpon Inn. She was a strong career woman and worked for Swatner and Gordon in Corpus Christi followed by Whitney Vakey in Aransas Pass. Funeral arrangements have been made for Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.- 12p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home and grave site service at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass at 2 p.m.
