Frances Ann Neill
Frances Ann Neill passed away February 22, 2020. She was 82.
Frances was born on May 27, 1937 in Bexar County, Texas to Amos Francis and Ida (Theis) Burrell.
She was a resident of Aransas Pass since 1976 and former resident of San Antonio.
Frances loved life. She kept active in numerous organizations.
In her youth, during the late 60’s and early 70’s, Frances played on a semi-pro circuit for Pepsi Cola fast pitch softball as a Pitcher.
She was a 60 year member of the Sons of Hermann Bexar Lodge 306; a member of Rebekah’s Ladies group; a Charter Member of the Aransas Pass Lioness Club where she served as Treasurer the majority of her tenure; a Charter Member of the Aransas Pass Scout Center with concerned citizens for scouting where she also served as Treasurer more than 35 years; member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 1972 in Aransas Pass; and partowner of the Fisherman’s Daughter restaurant in Ingleside.
Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death are her husband: Virgil Neill; fiancée: Bobby Myers; parents: Amos and Ida Burrell; sister: Bernice Schultz; brothers: Martin “Sonny” Burrell, Milton Burrell and Raymond Burrell.
Survivors include 3 sons: Daniel Wayne Neill (Patricia); David Alton Neill (Miriam), all of Aransas Pass, Texas; John Andrew Neill of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter: Valerie Ann Harvey (Gary) of Aransas Pass, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 8 grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will begin Sunday, March 1, 2020, 2 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass.
A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Funeral Mass will Monday, March 2, 2020, 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Star of Sea in Aransas Pass.
Interment will follow in Prairie View Cemetery, Aransas Pass.
