Commercial Motor Company ‘weathers’ Hurricane Harvey
Based on information about what happened during Hurricane Celia, Commercial Motors President Ronnie Boehnke knew the slow down of Hurricane Harvey was not a good thing, however, they boarded up the business as much as possible and hoped for the best. As things turned out, although the business sustained some damage, they were able to open back up Tuesday, Sept. 5, one week and four days after the storm.
Boehnke’s grandfather opened the dealership 78 years ago, and ran it for about 55 years, then Boehnke’s father took over for many years, and now Ronnie has been president for the last eight years. He began working at the company as a young man, serving as sales manager for 10 years before becoming president.
