City approves purchase of storm drainage pumps
The Aransas Pass City council took action to approve purchasing storm drainage pumps to help during heavy rains, among other action at the regular term meeting Monday, Oct. 1. Due to Monday press deadlines before the council meeting, action is not able to be published until the week after the meeting.
City Manager Gary Edwards explained during heavy rains, the City frequently must rent mobile pumps in order to assist the three permanent pumps located in various sections of the City. Documentation provided to the council noted the pumps are crucial to the effective draining of stormwater from the City.
