Cecil T. “Bud” Storey

Cecil T. “Bud” Storey, 78, passed away on June 11, 2016, at home with his family at his side. He was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on June 25, 1937, to Cecil and Jane Storey. His family settled in the Dallas area in 1944 where he grew up. He attended high school and college before joining the United States Navy where he served for 23 years as a Navy pilot. He then served 15 more years training Navy pilots in the flight simulators. He was active in the Masonic Order belonging to Kingsville Lodge #913 in Kingsville, Texas, Portland Lodge #1108 in Portland, Texas and Tranquility Lodge #2000 on the moon. He was also very active in Al Amin Shriners and Aransas Pass Order of Eastern Star Chapter #162. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Joshua Ludwig and daughter of choice, Karen Landrum Ford. “Bud” is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy Storey; sons, Kirk Storey and Scot Storey; daughter, Dawn Storey; children of choice, Walter Landrum, Vincent Landrum, Joe Landrum, Jimmy Landrum and Carl Landrum; brother, Michael C. Storey; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. with family present from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home.
