Carmen Mireles, 89, passed away at her home in Aransas Pass, July 30, 2017. She was born Feb. 21, 1928 to Manuel and Concepcion Mancias.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 30 years, Luis O. Mireles; a daughter, Irma Mireles Cantu; sons, Jose Luis, Alex and Michael Mireles. Carmen is survived by her devoted children, Esperanza Hernandez (Lupe) of Rockport, Fred Mireles (Delia) of Corpus Christi, Norma Mireles of Aransas Pass, Christina Mireles Tomlin (Rick) of Lansing, KS, Brenda Montez (Mando) of Taft, and David Mireles of Aransas Pass; 35 grandchildren; 64 great-grand children; and many loving friends.
Carmen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend to so many. She enjoyed and appreciated the simple things in life, she loved her family and was happiest when she was surrounded by them. She was a generous woman, always placing others needs before her own. She took care of her family and gave them her love, warmth and support. Carmen was a pure and warm soul and although she is gone her memory, love and life lessons will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Aug. 2, 2017 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. A funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 2017 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Aransas Pass. Interment will follow at Aransas Memorial Park.
