August Vollmering

August William Vollmering, 72, passed away April 6, 2017. He was born Nov. 17, 1944 in Beeville, to Otto and Mabel Vollmering. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of CVMA, and a member of the Moose Lodge in Aransas Pass, and VFW in Ingleside. He is survived by his companion, Robbie Cecelia Phillips of Aransas Pass; brothers, Charles Vollmering (Jeanne) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and Richard Vollmering (Irma) of San Diego, Texas; nephew, Charles Vollmering (Lisa) of Lytle Creek, CA; niece, Shawna Bateman (John) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. A memorial service was held Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the VFW in Ingleside, immediately followed by a motorcycle procession to the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas for an inurnment with full Military Honors.
