APISD construction continues despite delays
Construction on the Aransas Pass High School sports complex as well as the new elementary school are continuing in spite of delays caused by weather, according to information from Superintendent Mark Kemp.
The high school sports complex, a new 18,800-square-foot gymnasium for the high school will provide a full size UIL gymnasium play area for basketball and volleyball, bleachers, a ticket booth, a concession area, lockers and showers, and restrooms, is 50 days behind schedule because of rain. Kemp explained the construction delay is all post-Hurricane Harvey.
