Albert Alexander Holguin
Albert Alexander Holguin, age 83, passed away July 17, 2018 at his home in Seabrook, TX, with his devoted and loving wife, and family at his side. He was born to Carlos and Sophie Holguin in Shafer, TX, Feb. 23, 1935. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was former city manager for the City of Aransas Pass for many years. He continued his illustrious career as city manager in Seabrook and Webster, TX. Coming full circle, he worked for the U.S. Department of Labor, and thereafter for Harris County. Albert was a member of Rotary International for many years. In his younger years, he enjoyed wrestling. Over the last few years, he had a passion for yard work, playing poker, dancing, and family gatherings. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Louis Holguin; his sister, Martha Holguin; and his stepdaughter, Amy Katherine Hubbell. Albert is survived by his wife of 38 years Shirley; his daughter, Stephanie Holguin; sons, Aaron and Eric Holguin; grandchildren, John Michael Hernandez and Kendra Holguin; sisters, Hortensia McConnell, Lucille Polan, and Jody Bartoli; brothers, Peter and Omar Holguin; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 78598, with Pastor Rob Purdy officiating.
