Diane Garza Chandler, 60 passed away surrounded by her loving family on Feb. 21, 2012 in a Corpus Christi hospital. She was born on Feb. 4, 1952 in McAllen, Texas to Osbaldo "O.C." and Celia Rivas Garza. She retired as a counselor from the Gregory-Portland I.S.D. in 2004. She was a member of the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Ingleside, Texas where she served as a C.C.D. teacher for many years. She also formerly served as secretary for the San Patricio County Child Welfare Board. She was a former member of the Ingleside Chapter of "Beta Sigma Phi". Diane had many friends who she loved playing "BUNKO" with and enjoyed their company.
Salvador P. Rodriguez, 72 passed away on February 20, 2012 in a Corpus Christi hospital. He was born on December 14, 1939 in Goliad, Texas to Jose and Maria Pena Rodriguez. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2932 and the St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Aransas Pass, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents along with, two brothers and six sisters.
Sarah Elizabeth Truitt Chase passed away on February 16, 2012. She was born September 2, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland to Frank and Vicki Price Truitt. She graduated from Ingleside High School in 2006. She was a certified paramedic and was an Aransas Pass Volunteer Fire Fighter.
Bonnie Lou Durbin, 91, went to be with her Lord on February 15, 2012 and is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
Rebekah Ivana Stapleton, age 42 of Aransas Pass, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Susan Denise Bartholow passed away February 14, 2012. She was born March 6, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois to Barry and Jimmie Bartholow.
Angelita G. Villarreal passed away on February 6, 2012. She was born June 6, 1948 in Taft, TX to Martin and Maria Garcia.
Walter G. Henry, Jr. passed away February 3, 2012, at his home in Odem, TX, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Raymondville, TX on October 24, 1934. The family moved to Aransas Pass, TX in 1937. After graduating from Aransas Pass High School, he was employed with Arco Oil and Gas. He retired with 30 years service. He then worked for Acme Truck Lines for ten years. He served in the U.S. Army from July 1957 to January 1959 and was stationed in Orleans, France. He had fond memories of visiting the surrounding cities and countries with his Army buddies. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather and will be missed dearly by all. He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting. He had many good trips with his sons and buddies, Reggie and Ed. Walter was of the Christian faith.
On January 28, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer, a beautiful caring lady left us to be with the Lord.
Betty Joan Nelson, age 79, passed away on January 25, 2012. She was born on July 25, 1932 to Walter Dillon Greene and Minnie Louise (Stahl) Greene in Kingsville, Texas. Betty was a resident of Grapeland for the last 15 years. She moved to Grapeland after residing in Ingleside for 29 years. She and her husband recently moved to Pflugerville to be closer to their daughter, Linda.
Eileen Wilma Bullard passed away on January 19, 2012. She was born September 12, 1957 in Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia to Arthur and Beverly Lesson.
Harry Joseph Clark, Jr passed away January 18, 2012. He was born June 19, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Harry and Sara Clark. He was a resident of Aransas Pass for the past 61 years and was a retired tug boat captain for Arco.

John Sterling Brooks, 85 passed away on January 13, 2012 in a Corpus Christi hospital. He was born on February 13, 1926 in Peoria, Illinois. He was retired from the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Reba Brooks in April 2011.

Jerome J. "Jesse" James Jr., 44, died January 3, 2012, in Aransas Pass, TX. Jesse was born January 14, 1967, in Pennsylvania and moved with his family to Kansas in 1973. He was a graduate of Southeast of Saline High School, Gypsum, KS, and served in the US Navy. He was self-employed at the time of his death. Survivors include parents, Jesse & Linda James of Assaria; two sisters, Tina Smith & husband Michael and Laura Schmidt & husband David, all of Assaria; son, Andrew Hrabe of Salina; daughter, Christie James of Salina; two nieces, Rose Laflen of Salina and Samantha Schmidt of Assaria; and one nephew, Jonathan Schmidt of Assaria. A private memorial service and burial-at-sea was held on January 7, 2012, in Aransas Pass, TX.
Johnny Michael Plowman, 67 passed away on January 10, 2012 at his home in Portland. He was born on August 25, 1944 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Kermit & Ida Feely Plowman. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a retired heavy equipment mechanic for the City of Corpus Christi. Because of his love of fishing, he moved to Portland in 1985. he is preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Michael Plowman. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Plowman of Portland, Texas. A son Jeremy Plowman of Portland, Texas. Three daughters, Malinda Holley (Chester) of Glenn Heights, Texas, Leslie Plowman of Portland, Texas and Mandi Plowman Russell of Aransas Pass, Texas. A brother, K.G. Plowman of Lewisville, Texas. Two sisters, Judi Hogg of Mineral Wells, Texas and Carol Hein of Hurdle Mills, NC. Three grandchildren, Joshua Plowman, Helen Gotte and Taylor Russell. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass, Texas.
