Area Art Scene - 02.22.12

I was talking to a friend of mine last night about our experience with volunteering in various organizations through the years.  She’s been very active with Rotary Clubs since her kids were small (they’ve all left the nest now).  I’ve been active in the arts and renovation projects for quite awhile and I’m lucky that I’ve been able to combine both with the local Rialto Theater.  Most non-profits “go to the well” over and over to their own core group of folks who repeatedly step up to the plate to do whatever it takes to make it happen.  We agreed the reason we put ourselves in that position is the feeling that we are serving the community.  We both believe we are making a difference.
