Sometimes social media pays off. A Facebook tip helped police make two arrests in a string of three convenience store robberies last Thursday. Zachary Hammond, 18, and Marcus Flores, 18, were arrested at the Stripes store on Cleveland Avenue. They were also charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm on a licensed premise and possession of a stolen firearm. Hammond was also charged with possession of narcotics. Bond was set at $355,000 for Hammond and $345,000 for Flores.
Topics such a school funding, growth and infrastructure were discussed at Monday’s joint meeting of the Ingleside City Council and Ingleside Independent School District board of trustees. The two entities meet together once a year to discuss various topics.
